Welcome

Hello, welcome to TheZikes.com. My name is Jason Hutchinson, though I tend to go by Zikes on most sites and that's what many of you already know me as. Plus JasonHutchinson.com was taken so I was kinda boned there.

The main purpose of this site is to give me a bit of a playground since I'm actually a web designer and developer, and as such this site will exhibit the extent of my skills in that regard. I'm far more proficient at development than design, though I must say I'm rather proud of how well this one's turned out. As you may have noticed the design was heavily inspired by deviantART.com, a site I am fairly active on.

I'll be posting whatever randomness pops into my head and will try to do so frequently, so hopefully most of you will feel like coming back every once in a while. The topics of my blogs will most likely consist of everything from the happenings of my personal life to the latest tech news to a review on the latest movie I watched, and if you should so desire you can request that I create an account for you so that you may comment on my blog entries and even keep track of which ones you have and haven't read.

This site's still very much under construction, but I'm speeding through the development of the blogging system so I can still communicate with you all during the rest of the development and hopefully even get some good feedback. Unlike many other blog-like sites users will be required to have an account in order to post comments. This is to cut back on possible spam bots, a fairly prevalent problem for today's bloggers.

I have yet to create a registration system, but I will be able to add users manually very shortly for the anxious among you. If you're a friend from dA I'd prefer that you note me, otherwise you may send me an email at TheZikes@gmail.com.
